WIM Module 6, Lesson 5
Lenore Bechtel Script Exchange 1
My vision: I want to create enough salable screenplays that an agent will want to market my work and recommend me for writing assignments.
What I learned from doing this assignment is that feedback from a fellow writer is very valuable.
My first exchange was with Lloyd Shellenberger, and it was my privilege to give him suggestions about his “Letter from Baghdad,” which tells a story that needs to be told.
He gave me excellent suggestions for additions to my “Berlin Rendezvous,” and I am now in the process of putting them in my script. We’re also had a few telephone conversations, encouraging each other through this second of the four draft process.
When I finish the second draft, I hope to give and get feedback again.

Working Hard every day to become the best writer I can be and as a result I do become the best writer in Hollywood.
Module 6 Lesson 5 Feedback
I had the privilege of reading Lenore’s script. It brought back great memories of my time in Berlin. More importantly, she gave me excellent advice and feedback and showed me several errors in my formatting. Lenore is an excellent writer and devoted to her craft and I am hopeful her script is picked up. Thank you, Lenore, for your advice.

Margaret’s Script Exchange 1
To be the best faith-based screenwriter.
Received feedback from a past WIM student since there wasn’t anyone else available at the time. Feedback led to major changes with my intro.

HIGH CONCEPT: When a retired couple finally take their dream vacation, the husband starts showing signs of rapid dementia and leaves his wife in distress in a foreign country.
MAJOR STORY HOOK: Imagine thinking you can trust your doctor to prescribe you something to block your anxiety and instead you become a guinea pig for a clinical trial drug that causes extreme memory loss while you’re in a foreign country on a dream vacation experiment!?

Module 6 Lesson 5 exchange feedback
Marguerite Langstaff: THE BILLIONAIRE IN 501
VISION: I want to learn to write and market movie scripts.
What I learned…I learned that I have gotten too far behind in my lessons and classes to have feedback with anybody and do it justice. That is a loss for me, but I am behind in the course. I moved this month and was unable to do any of the lessons. That is a reason and not an excuse. Actually it’s a true confession thing. I had to prioritize and am still rather caught up in the move and am still behind. My goal is to catch up with the rest of my class!
I love…no, actually I do not love being behind and knowing there will be a lot of work to catch up…but I do love that I intend to catch up with my lessons.
