Pam’s Character Profiles Part 1
One-Sentence Vision: I will turn my ideas into produced movies and live a happy, successful life as a writer and industry professional.
What I learned from doing this assignment: It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with all of these moving parts, but am taking it one step at a time.COLD-BLOODED BEAUTY (Horror/Dark Comedy)
HIGH CONCEPT: A middle-aged artist tests an amazing new anti-aging night cream, unaware that its secret ingredient — reptile stem cells — is turning herself and her neighbors into reptilian predators while they sleep.
– – – – – –
Protagonist: EVE GARDNER
CHARACTER’S JOURNEY: She goes from being insecure, vulnerable, and afraid to pursue her dreams to a hero who puts herself out there.ACTOR ATTRACTORS:
1. Why an actor would want this role: She undergoes several amazing transformations throughout the movie, both physically and emotionally. From mousy has-been to a force-to-be-reckoned with.
2. One of the most interesting characters: Does not give in to fountain-of-youth temptation like the rest of the town, once she realizes the dangers.
3. Most interesting actions in the script: She wages war against LeZarde Cosmetics, gathering evidence of the night cream’s danger. She makes an adorable lizard. She paints an amazing self-portrait, that also goes through many transformations.
4. Powerful Introduction: She loses it at her surprise 50th birthday party. She’s a polite person who finally snaps at the culmination of events from a bad day.
5. Emotional range: From a Calm Exterior to Enraged. From Resigned to Inspired.
6. Subtext the actor can play: There is a highly-opinionated, passionate person beneath her polite exterior. Her true feelings sometimes show up in her “graphic imagination” that only Eve and the audience sees.
7. Her most interesting relationships:
– With Zivia, her best friend since high school, who always seems to outshine her.
– With Henry, the new love interest she meets in the Home Depot where he works.
8. How unique voice is presented: Through politeness and creativity (she sees things differently than most).
9. Special and unique: She ultimately “re-designs” herself, without the use of the anti-aging night cream.
– – – – – –FIRST 6 PARTS OF CHARACTER PROFILE:
1. Role in the Story: Protagonist / Washed-up graphic designer in a midlife crisis
2. Age range & Description: EVE just turned 50, but will deny it if asked. She wears clothes that are too young for her, without the confidence to pull it off.
3. Core Traits: Unconfident, Desperate, Polite, Creative
4. Motivation; Want/Need:
– Wants to look & feel young again
– Needs to be relevant, and have the courage to pursue her dreams again
5. Wound: She can’t face being Irrelevant.
6. Likability: She’s nice to her co-workers at the ad agency. She’s concerned about others when she suspects the anti-aging night cream everyone in town is using is dangerous.
Relatability: A younger, less-experienced employee gets promoted over her.
Empathy: When her boyfriend asks her out to a nice restaurant for dinner, she shares her excitement and anticipation beforehand with her best friend, only to have him break up with her (on her birthday!)

Antagonist: JESSICA LEZARDE
CHARACTER’S JOURNEY: She’s go from being the town’s beautiful, charismatic stranger to a feared, carnivorous reptilian.ACTOR ATTRACTORS:
1. Why an actor would want this role: She has many layers: she’s beautiful, greedy, insane… and a part-time Reptilian.2. One of the most interesting characters: She justifies the carnage she orchestrates by telling herself she’s “making the world a more beautiful place.” She will kill to achieve the riches of her dreams.
3. Most interesting actions in the script: She kills (and covers up the murder of) her cosmetics company’s research scientist. She hosts eerie, bizarre infomercials for her anti-aging product line. Eats mice as appetizers.
4. Powerful Introduction: She gives product demos at a home cosmetics party that seems mostly normal (except for some odd mannerisms that will make sense later), then eats a stray mouse when all the guests leave.
5. Emotional range: From Sophisticated to Carnivorous.
6. Subtext the actor can play: She’s beautiful, cultured and elegant on the surface — pure evil on the inside.
7. Her most interesting relationships:
– She has a volatile relationship with her seemingly much older (and wealthy) husband, Louis LeZarde.
– She hooks up with Eve’s cranky Uncle Hank, who transforms himself for her.
– She uses her niece Zivia, a local TV celebrity, in a number of ways.8. How unique voice is presented: With a flowery vocabulary, strange metaphors, and her philosophy re: youth and beauty.
9. Special and unique: She has a secret, dark past, but won’t let anything get in the way of her success. She looks like a runway model in her early forties, but she’s really 70.
– – – – – –
FIRST 6 PARTS OF CHARACTER PROFILE:
1. Role in the Story: Antagonist / Greedy Cosmetics Entrepreneur2. Age range & Description: JESSICA, 40ish, beautiful and fit, with an oddly intense stare. She looks as if she’s afraid to blink, lest she miss something.
3. Core Traits: Poised, Eloquent, Manipulative, Secretive
4. Motivation; Want/Need:
– Wants to be rich beyond wildest dreams
– Needs to be young and beautiful.
5. Wound: She lost her first husband to a younger woman. Louis is her second husband.
6. Likability: She compliments others to boost their confidence. She’s her niece’s mentor.
Relatability: She has the same challenges as other middle-aged adults (struggles with weight, fear of aging, etc). She wants to sell her anti-aging regimens internationally, but does not have much business experience.
Empathy: She cares for her sick husband.– – – – – – –

Subject: André’s Character Profiles Part 1.
My one-sentence vision for my success from this program is:
To learn how to write the best script(s) of my life, so far, by dramatically improving the quality of my writing in the genres of Action, Erotica, and Horror; while having both the Financial and Time resources to travel the world doing so, with colleagues / friends /peers, (the few that I have).
What I learned doing this assignment is…Understanding the Components
Role in the Story
Ø Protagonist: The primary Character with the biggest arc. (For our story, there will be two, human and angel who have biggest arc.
The connection is the accident, fatherhood abandonment, and the end.
Indigo: Fatherhood abandonment, NDE, life of searching, aborted baby used for science to mix with Anti-matter.
Lucifer: Fatherhood abandonment (God), Saved Indigo during vehicle accident, tumultuous life blamed for all evil, is annihilated for pride. Lucifer is protagonist because of angelic biggest arc.
Ø Antagonist: The opposition that forces the protagonist (the primary character with the biggest arc) to change.
Ashkenazi is a medical doctor, political lobbyist and investor (he funds abortion tours). His goal to save his own life, at the expense of others. The history of death by bolt of lightning from Zeus is a reminder to not take his gift for medicine too lightly, therefore not bring over souls is not in his best interest. Therefore, he aborts life on schedule as a career with a motto Abortion is between a woman, her doctor, and the government, (hush-hush, not the father).
Ø Triangle: Key player who connects the Protagonist and Antagonist.
BBB, Indigos girlfriend whom has multiple abortions; her body her choice.
