Lynn’s Begin Act 3
VISION: I am determined to become a great screenwriter capable of getting my screenplays in various genres produced into movies that inspire vast audiences to mitigate climate change.
I LEARNED that I improved in speed as I went forward, mainly by leaving notes at problem places within a scene or at the top of the scene if it applied to the whole scene, then just plowing ahead. I think I found my draft speed, which is variable, sometimes flowing really fast, sometimes going more slowly to give it a bit more thought (but not dwelling on anything very long). That works for me.
Finished the script! But I don’t want to start the second draft until the lessons for it come up, so I’m now spending what little time I have for screenwriting these days doing necessary research. I’d gotten into some technical/scientific/etc areas in which I know little to squat. And I’m also catching up on some “how to” readings re screenwriting & reading some RomCom scripts.

Ron’s Began Act 3
VISION: I want the success and recognition of being an in demand, A-list screenwriter who writes successful films that are financially profitable, award winning and of enduring quality.
What I learned from doing this assignment is that really believe I have absorbed the course
work from SU given the skills I am exhibiting in my screenwriting.
In writing the screenplay it’s been getting increasingly better as I work out the plot and deal with its holes..

Lesson 9 begin Act 3
Vision: As a writer, my work is gold, highly sought after by producers.
How is it going?: starting page 60, definitely act 3. l m beyond thinking I am organized. I hope the story falls together but now goal is to ferret out likely scene conflicts between characters. I get engrossed in story. I keep writing, so that’s good.

Amy Began Act 3
Vision: I want to become known as an expert in the family-friendly genre and make a full-time living as a screenwriter.
3. Tell us how it is going for you.
It’s going slow right now. I’ve been busy and sick. I’ve gotten one scene written since I finished Act 2. Hopefully, I will get caught up this weekend, if not before.
-
Andrew Boyd’s Act 2 (sorry, behind…)
Vision: For Hitler’s Choirboys to be such a compelling screenplay that Steven Spielberg and Mel Gibson will battle it out to produce their most powerful WW2 blockbuster since Hacksaw Ridge or Schindler’s List.
What I learned from doing this assignment: There’s too much material in this outline. This is an adaptation from a novel, and it has to be pared right back. Thought I had, but I’ve needed to take a pruning saw to the outline again. The other thing: I’ve been away for a week, fully engaged on another assignment. It’s horrible falling behind…

Subject: Monica Began Act 3
Vision: I will continue to learn everything I can through all different media to apply what I learn to become the best screenwriter I can be. To be successful in getting my movies made and to win awards in the process.
What I learned from doing this assignment is to keep moving forward. Set a time limit for writing 1/3 of the Act.
How it’s going: Discovered a potential plot issue. Made a note. Kept going.

-
Renee’s Beginning Act 3
My Vision: I will work hard to become a well-respected writer who gets my movies produced and has enough work to keep me busy and keep the lights on.
What I learned doing this assignment is to keep myself empowered and not allow myself to stall out while writing the first draft. Just get the story down and fix issues as you rewrite.
How It’s Going: Things have been slow to start this act. Between my daughter being sick and answering a Jury summons, I haven’t had much time to write this week. But I have no doubt I will get caught up in the next couple of days and get back on track.

Marcus Began Act 3

-
Dave Holloway began Act 3
My vision: I would like to be a successful writer in Hollywood, with a number of successful movies to my credit that put forward a core belief about environmental, political, or personal values.
What I learned from doing this assignment is that I’m getting more comfortable using the Speed Writing rules and with not judging the writing as I go along.
-

<div>Joe began Act 3</div><div>
My vision is to persevere and stay the course of building steady daily routine, and disciplines that produce consistent writing of exceptional quality. Ultimately, the fruit of those habits and disciplines will be a track record of great marketable scripts that will make other successful talented pros seek me out.
While it’s NOT getting easier to get myself to sit down and write, it IS gettting easier to ignore the critics in my mind. As I flesh out the details, i am continually surprised as to the twists and turns and energy that these characters are exuding, and some of my etherial plot-points ARE starting to make some sense. So that part is fun.
