PAM’S NEXT ACT 1 SCENES
What I learned: I def. was not able to do 6-10 pages a day! But still able to do 3 :0) -
Subject Line: Andre’s Next ACT 1 Scenes.
1. Do State-To-Activity empowerment process.
• State: I truly enjoy…
• Activity: …writing a high speed first draft!2. Write 6-10 pages a day in the next two days.
3. Tell Forums how it is going.
• I completed the 4 Act structure outline in the Horror Program.
• This is too complicated ESPECIALLY with no money from the industry to continue. The industry is woke and dead (unpopular comment).
• No feedback yet from others.
• I am not a dialogue writer.
• Writing in solitude is —insert adjective—. Film-making is team endeavor.
4. At top of page, my one-sentence Vision for my success from this program.
5. Under my Vision, What I learned from doing this assignment is…
• Don’t worry about not having perfect writing. This is Draft 1. Just keep writing the next scene. By the end of Draft 4, I will have an incredible script!
• High Speed Rules-
o Choose speed over quality for early drafts.
o Master writing in drafts.
o Keep myself empowered!
o Allow myself to start (or continue) without all of the answers.
o Keep moving. Don’t ever allow myself to stall out.
o Anything I do not solve, quickly, give it to my creative mind to process, knowing it will come to me!
o Stick with my Outline. Just writing the Scenes and don’t venture off into other ideas. The purpose of this lesson is to complete a 1st Draft that honors my Outline and honors my Pitch.
• Have fun!
