I’m not necessarily looking to receive feedback on my current draft, but just want to acknowledge that this class enabled me to reach a goal – which was to pull together a decent enough draft of my screenplay to deliver to folks I’ll be working with, and to get their comments, and move forward from there.
I don’t know if Dimitri or Hal will be reading this, but the new website had all kinds of glitches. I did email Dimitri a couple of times – but essentially there seemed a disconnect between when the lessons were posted and when we could post on the forum. Sometimes all the lessons were available and sometimes not. Hopefully you’ll be getting those things resolved, as I imagine other writers here experienced these things as frustrating as well.
Other than that, great course!

Congrats on getting your draft completed, Dale! What is the title of your story?
Best of luck to you, Pam

Thanks so much for a great course! I’ve managed to finish my first draft and a rewrite – yay :)! I’m also not ready for feedback yet since I want to go back and make more additions/revisions but hopefully soon!
Also as an fyi, I did experience several glitches as well when trying to post to forums. And did feel there was a disconnect with when emails were sent to when the assignments were available online to finally when you could post your work in the forum. Other than that, I am grateful for the valuable lessons you provided on building structure and will certainly continue to use these skills for not only this script but many more! So, thank you!! I hope to continue to take more courses with you guys :)!

Thanks for a great course. I felt I got all the help I needed. I’ll be happy to read and give feedback on any script. I sent my script to be edited and will get it back in 2 weeks. Ready to move on to my next venture. Wishing everyone the best.

Ricardo, this is Michael. I would love to read through your script. Mine is completed. The course taught me a couple of invaluable tricks from a structural standpoint. I am going to submit the script to a couple of contests. My last script came in second place in June of last year. This one is a better script. Let me know if you are interested.
I agree with Dale and the glitches and issues with the platform. I will freely admit that I am not a techie so there is that.

Great class, Hal! I learned a lot about the basic structure a screenplay needs (transformational events, midpoint, etc.) The advice on writing fast and without inward criticism was also invaluable. I feel I now have a much clearer understanding of the elements of a screenplay. Best of luck to my fellow students with your writing projects, now and in the future.

Hi Michael,
I just saw your message. I will love to have you read my script. I am awaiting the editing which I should get back this Friday. I will also like to read your script. Congratulations on your second-place achievement. Are we going to email each other the script? ricardowilliams@hotmail.com

I have really enjoyed the class, am able to write much faster than before. I still have a ways to go before I have what I’d consider a first draft, I’m only about halfway there.
Best of luck to everyone, hope to bump into you in another class.

Thanks so much for giving us all a great new way to work on our drafts. I found it very helpful and stimulating. Looking forward to seeing these projects move forward. Take care everyone and best of luck.
