Using the restaurant as the locale for this very public display of the organs argument was a brilliant use of situation. It not only draws in random people and their response but embarrasses Harry knocking him out of his know-it-all stance

LOL! A classic. She’s trying to convince a machismo, arrogant guy that he’s not all that great and has no idea about women and how most of them, at one time, have faked an orgasm. He’s pushing back, not having it, thinks she’s way off base because that’s never happened to him. He’s confident he knows women. She’s determined to show him different, and does…boy does she show him! She speaks in a matter of fact way about this personal subject that draws you in while doing something as mundane as eating a horrible looking sandwich. His confidence seems to wane as she makes her case in a simple, but effective way, finally making her case to the entire restaurant. Satisfied, she smiles, goes back to her sandwich. She proves her point in a dramatic, surprising way in contrast to the simple way the conversation began.

What makes the scene great? It’s the acting and setting. There is a good build-up of dialogue to the fake orgasm of Sally. You see how Harry is not so all-knowing about women. Sally puts him in his place when she shows how she has faked an orgasm. The fact that it’s a public place adds to the comedic aspect of the scene with the line, “I’ll have what she’s having,” wrapping it up. If this was at someone’s apartment and it was just the two of them it simply would not have been as effective. Each character speaks from their perspective, making them distinct characters. The unique action is Sally faking an orgasm.
