I learned that a characters ending is one that tracks with who they’ve been throughout the story. And it’s not predictable … they are unique and they will also experience their ending according to their profile.

I have an underdog character who becomes a folk hero. This short scene of Rudy shows how quickly the extraordinary level of support can be set up and flow into the fit ending for an underdog who has been up against it for the entire film.

A stronger, emotional connection is made with the audience by having an endearing character who overcomes so many obstacles in his life and sees his dreams realized.
