Margaret’s High Speed Writing Rules
My Vision: To write profound faith-based screenplays that are produced.
What I learned: Reviewed high speed writing rules. I learned that the high-speed writing was better than my first attempt in the last WIM class, probably because my writing is getting better.
How it went using the rules: I used the high-speed writing rules in a previous WIM class. It definitely makes things go quicker! -
LJ’s High-Speed Writing Rules
My vision is to write incredible high-concept screenplays that are made into popular, financially successful movies.
What I learned from doing this assignment is writing at a high speed instead of focusing on the details of the scene makes it very easy to write each season my first draft.

Subject: Monica’s High-Speed Writing Rules
VISION: I am a very successful screenwriter who has had multiple movies made.
What I learned doing this assignment is to relax and write. Not to worry about perfection.
For this scene, focus all of your attention on writing it as fast as you can using this model.
I wrote five scenes in Final Draft.
Tell us how it went using the rules.
I reviewed the rules and what I wanted to accomplish in the scent, took a deep breath and just wrote. I had it done in 15 minutes. Whereas before, I’d agonize over the scene. So far so good.

Renee's High Speed Writing
My Vision: I will be in the top 1% of screenwriters and be known in the industry as an A-list screenwriter who is easy to work with, gets the job done, and never has to worry about the next job. What I learned from this assignment is nothing more than a review at this point. I’ve taken enough classes with Hal that include this method that it has become a natural process to write quickly. I do enjoy the process, but every once in a while find myself resorting to my old perfectionist ways.
I used the process on the third scene in my script and it went fairly well, although I did find myself getting stuck when coming up with headlines to include in the scene. But overall, it went great. I think I was able to write the scene in about 20 minutes. It would have probably gone quicker if I wasn’t so worried about getting the right formatting for the newspaper headlines.

Harry’s High Speed Writing Rules
My vision for success from this program is:
To create scripts freely when working with producers, directors and cast, and sell award-winning work to create a lifestyle confident of financial freedom. What I learned from doing this assignment is:
These rules are truly liberating. Getting stuff down on paper (virtual, at least) is THE best way to avoid writer’s block. Fiddling around and changing things later will become a joy rather than a chore!I sped through the first scene in my script and it came out pretty good…(to me, that is)

David Z's High Speed Writing Rules
Vision:
I am an interesting, dependable, successful writer that people love to work with. What I learned from doing this assignment is it's still a bit agonizing getting everything down into professional formatting but now I have a roadmap to follow so at this stage I'm trying to allow myself to just format and fill in the blanks.
How it went using the rules. It's a real process to let go of having a nice first draft! I have to remind myself constantly to power through and just make a note for anything I don't have the answer for. I think it's really good practice and hopefully I'll continue to improve and allow speed over perfection in these early drafts.

Mike's High Speed Writing Rules
My Vision is to write an original screenplay, make a couple of calls to pitch it, to start a bidding war.
This lesson Showed me that you don’t have to have all the answers while writing the scene, but it is still hard to leave that hole in the scene.

Pat's High Speed Writing Rules
My vision is to have fun completing this class with a contest-winning script that will establish me as a courageous and original writer.
What I learned is that it really is fun to just write and not look back. I will continue to follow my outline and move forward while not worrying about quality. At this stage of writing, the important thing is to just get the words on paper.

Kathryn's high speed writing rules
I choose to be a highly creative and energized writer who makes big movies and loves her life working with the most creative people in the world.
What I learned: Getting better. This was a fairly complex action scene with some logistics to figure out, but I managed to do 6 pages in about an hour and 15 minutes, so I think that's progress.

Robin’s: High Speed Writing
MY VISION: I aim to make my writing flow naturally, like second nature, crafting stories that resonate globally and leave a mark, backed by a supportive team.
What I learned in this lesson, the beginning of a new process; “High Speed Writing”, I allowed my creative juices to flow without being encumbered by dotting “I’s and crossing t’s”. It was a refreshing approach and one I’ll adapt for all my future writing projects. In this scene, I introduced my protagonist, and drew upon a Pro Series lesson of character description. Having completed the actor attractors for my lead, I incorporated the PS lesson with those and now, I’m happy to say, my lead jumps off the page without spending hours thinking who this person is. Now they have a voice. – at least at a 30% level and I couldn’t be more delighted. I look forward advancing my outline to script with lightning speed. Here I go!-

Terrie’s High Speed Writing Rules
Vision: I am paid to write screenplays that become successful movies. My process is so solid I can enjoy my equestrian hobby while exceeding expectations with my writing.
What I learned from this assignment is it works. I knew it worked but I’m tired today. Regardless once I just jumped in and kept at it I wrote a 6 page scene. I know it needs to be elevated but it’s out there.-

James’ High Speed Writing Rules
My Vision: I am a great writer who is recognized by the industry as an exceptional collaborator able to elevate any project into production and have maximum success.
What I learned from doing this assignment is…with the high-speed rules I found myself not second guessing myself. With the outline, I wrote the scene with no pauses and was pleased with the result. This script will ultimately change with the upcoming modules focusing on specific elements, yet the current version is a strong one.

Hope’s High Speed Writing Rules
My Vison: To be a full-time respected screenwriter whose work brings joy to viewers and creates work for others in the industry, including actors and crew.
What I learned: As much as I was telling myself to keep moving, I had to tell myself to forget backtracking to fix anything. The dialogue is stilted but I was able to stick to the outline and move it ahead. Now onto the next scenes. I can absolutely understand how this can be a game changer. Now I just need to get the time to write …

Dawn Crouch’s High-Speed Writing Rules
My vision is that I want to learn to write better, more marketable scripts.
What I learned from doing this assignment is to write out the outline as quickly and efficiently as possible, almost as if a stopwatch was clicking or perhaps I am talking about something I passionately enjoy with a good friend I haven’t seen in a while. I want to convey my enthusiasm and excitement over my idea and my plan for executing my idea!!
