Pat Began Act 3
My vision is to have fun completing this class with a contest-winning script that will establish me as a courageous and original writer. What I learned doing this assignment is that I can ignore my inner critic even when the critic might be right. After writing three scenes I realized that they would have greater impact if they were in a different order. I was tempted to backtrack, rearrange and rewrite them, but doing this would stop my forward progress. I will deal with the situation in further rewrites so I can finish the first draft while honoring the high speed writing rules.

Mike Began Act 3
My Vision is to write an original screenplay, make a couple of calls to pitch it, to start a bidding war.
I learned from this lesson to stay true to your outline and not veer away to appease anyone, especially yourself, even though I am probably the biggest offender of this statement.

ET’s beginning Act IV/ End of Act III
Vision: To be recognized for my best work, including with money.
Lesson: I’ve worked so quickly that I’m updating my Forum posts all at the same time. Well into Act IV now and truly enjoying building this first draft. …Typos and all! All 59 pages — so far. -
Margaret Began Act 3
My Vision: To write profound faith-based screenplays that are produced.
What I learned: I was missing several scenes in the outline that were needed to make it flow better.
How it is going for me: I am on page 57, into Act Three! Today, I was able to write at high speed the whole time without any wordsmithing! -
Subject: Monica Began Act 3
VISION: I am a very successful screenwriter who has had multiple movies made.
What I learned from doing this assignment is to ignore outside criticisms and not listen to that negative picky voice inside my head.
Tell us how it is going for you.
Discovered an outline issue. Corrected the slug lines and kept going.

Sunil Pappu Began Act 3
My Vision: I’m a successful produced writer who specializes in female-led thrillers.
“What I learned from doing this assignment is… to ignore my inner critic and told him to sit outside while finished writing my bad first draft. I dove into my outline and powered through 10 pages of Act 3.

David Z Began Act 3
Vision:
I am an interesting, dependable, successful writer that people love to work with. What I learned from doing this assignment is to keep pushing through regardless of how bad I want to try to rewrite it!
I’m slowly but surely learning to just get the words on the page and know that I can go back and expand it later… the script is too short but it can easily be filled in with the suspense and fight scenes I need to happen in later drafts… trying very hard to allow myself that freedom… and put notes and phrases for what I want to have in those scenes rather than struggling to get the scene ‘right.’

WIM+AI – Module 5 – Lesson 9
Robin’s: Start Act 3! 6 – 10 Pages.
MY VISION: I aim to make my writing flow naturally, like second nature, crafting stories that resonate globally and leave a mark, backed by a supportive team.
What I learned in this lesson, Lady Gaga’s quote is spot on. There are so many haters out there and I’m my worst critic. I like the idea of writing without criticism.
My process is coming along nicely. There are so many layers to my story and at this point, the beginning of Act 3, peeling them back to get to the spine of the story by problem solving and creating new obstacles to hurdle has been an interesting ride. My addiction story line has gone from bad to worse – The search for Alpha just became heated. These new scenes are interesting but so many details to unravel in subsequent drafts. Just getting it out of my head and on paper is an accomplishment in itself. Celebrate!

Terrie Began Act 3
Vision: I am paid to write screenplays that become successful movies. My process is so solid I can enjoy my equestrian hobby while exceeding expectations with my writing.
What I learned from this assignment is to just keep a note file when I find story problems.
I wrote 3 scenes today. I won’t be done with draft 1 tomorrow but by following the high speed writing rules I’ve made great progress in a week. 3 scenes in one day is difficult for me but I’ve managed to do it a couple of times this week. Today was 7 pages. I’m getting better on relying on my outline.-

James Began Act 3
My Vision: I am a great writer who is recognized by the industry as an exceptional collaborator able to elevate any project into production and have maximum success.
What I learned from doing this assignment is…that my protagonist is really in a pickle with his love life. He must recover from the error of his ways. I’m still letting go of my perfectionist thinking, but my writing is getting faster. However, that self-criticizing voice lingers.

Kathryn Began Act 3
I choose to be a highly creative and energized writer who makes big movies and loves her life working with the most creative people in the world.
Finished all this a while ago but was on the move and too busy to post. It went well, and I loved using writing sprints to power through and keep me mindful of writing at a lower quality than I'm used to.

Jan Began Act 3
Up to this point, writing creatively was going pretty well, but I found here I was looking back at my act 2 and my inner critic came out to play.
My Vision: I am a talented and strong writer with a unique voice, recognized by the movie industry with multiple screenplays produced.
What I learned from this assignment was it was a challenge to move forward with this assignment. I eventually used the speed writing rules and finished the next scenes

Pam’s Begin Act 3
Vision: Become a Writing Athlete
What I learned: I took a break to finish a script for a writing group. I learned that finishing faster would have saved me so much time and frustration. After trying to go fast I slogged through and finally submitted my script – ready to take my lumps for errors. The next morning I woke up with clear vision on plot holes and betterments I could implement. Now I am facing the critiques tomorrow and I am considering it a contest to see if they identify as many as I have already found and am ready to implement solutions on. All this is a long way of saying that recalling this experience will be added incentive for me to use to finish fast. -
