Plot Subtext of “Make Her Pay”:

Olivia loves her husband but is forced to shoot him when he becomes a danger to their infant daughter.

He survives, and aided by his wealthy parents, continues to hide his sudden onset of mental illness. They demand Olivia go to prison for attempted murder.

Olivia fights for a not-guilty verdict in a courtroom packed with an attitude of indifference and presumed guilt.

What I learned doing this assignment is:
