Hi All,

Nice to meet you.

I have a background–what you might call a career, I suppose–in nonfiction writing. Never wanted it that way, but had to make a living after college. Majored in creative writing in school. It was interesting and thought-provoking, but I think the professors were literary critics more than writing instructors. They WERE good at criticism. Have to hand them that. (Don’t think the school has turned out even one successful fiction writer in 60 years.) Wrote one script some time ago. It failed, which I had a hard time understanding, since I had written 11,000+ movie reviews and thought I understood what made for a good film. I really didn’t. Have had several other opportunities and blown them. Can’t afford to fail this time, so am taking the course. Out of all Hal’s free online seminars, this one impressed me the most. So, looking forward to trying again.
