    My name is Jim Newton. I am really looking forward to this class. I am a retired environmental engineer who always wanted to write. I have written textbooks, novels, and several musicals (but not the music) and have written several scripts for ScreenwritingU classes I have taken. A couple of them were quarterfinalists in contests. I have written holiday scripts, comedies and dramas. I am currently working on two holiday spec scripts.

    My name is Jim Newton. I have taken many ScreenwritingU classes. I have written 5 feature scripts 3 of them for ScreenwritingU classes and 2 musicals. I have the ideas for 3 more holiday scripts and many others. In fact, I have a running Word document of them.

    I need the motivation to get working on more scripts that this class will provide.

    I am a cancer survivor.
