    ASSIGNMENT

Subject line: Diana’s characters for Horror

I learned doing this assignment that I have to narrow my list of characters more so the story can be more developed.

Concept: Mystery person or group is violently killing everyone in places where people normally feel safe in everyday America in an effort to cause fear and chaos on “main street, USA“.

There are no survivor’s so no one can help unravel the sources or the how and why.

The Dying Pattern is no one survives until 1 day, one woman is spared and no one knows why.

    The Characters:

-many victims simply living life such as strangers in a parking lot whose only connection is they are being hunted by the same monster.

-the lone survivor from one event later becomes the one that brings the curse to others. As the monster regrets letting her go he stalks her to kill her but every time leaves her alive however kills anyone who just happens to be in the same place as her. This brings her both to the extreme trauma of seeing the murders and also knowing they died because of her.

-fbi agent is trying to solve the case and becomes involved (professionally)in trying to solve it, save her, and keep him/herself from becoming a victim

    Subject line: Diana’s Terrifying Monster

Doing this work I learned that my monster is not actually the character I thought it was. I thought the mastermind that was training kids to become super killers was the monster but in reality the super killer kid is the monster.

    1. Tell us what or who your monster is: a manipulated child trained to be a sniper on “main street”

Their Terror: unseen, unheard, practically invisible and never expected but he is ruthless in his killings leaving no one alive. <div>

    <div><div>

Their Mystery: no one knows who it is because it seems as if killings have no source but also no survivers to tell on them.

Their Fear Provoking Appearance: innocent looking child but ruthless killer

Their Rules: lightening quick, unexpected, always hidden, always goes undetected, always turns a routine chore into a war zone, always randomly chosen so seems like no actual target. Uses bullets that cause the worst looking crime scene on purpose; to further terrorize.

Their Mythology: his mom was dating this man who became a father figure to him. The man taught him hate and how to kill and how to hunt people and even why. The man kills his mom in front of him, leaving the child an orphan. The orphan then learns to kill from this pseudo father who teaches the hunt but won’t pull the trigger himself. He raises the child to believe they are waging a war for good.

I learned the formula works but in this particular movie they deviated from the formula towards end which made it campy as a whole but had its moments.<div>

Title / Concept: dismember/monster kills teens then makes them relive the day until they solve the game.<div>

Terrorize The Characters: they die horrifying deaths over and over again and watch their friends die too.

Isolation: it is their high school at night while stuck in a timeloop

Death: all the lead characters are impaled, cut in half, dismembered, torn apart, every day

Monster/Villain: the half corpse of an 8 yr old murder victim and half demon

High Tension: figure out the puzzle and find all the body parts of the 8 yr old while being killed evey day

    Departure from Reality: time loop

Moral Statement: the group was brought together by the demon because of their loneliness and Isolation within in high school social scene.

    My story

concept: terrorist training kids to be serial killer in the name of terror

    </div><div>

Terrorize The Characters: People being shot down dead by seemingly invisible killer

Isolation: The terror threat now turned daily tasks into dangerous events

Death: Blown from inside out by seemingly invisible killer

Monster/Villain: Terrorist trainer and his army of killer kids

High Tension: No one lives to tell what happened and no one can find the source

Departure from Reality: They seem almost super human with their ability to clear a location quickly, quietly and viciously violent and random.

Moral Statement: Kids in our society are being manipulated by the wrong people because they are the forgotten and ignored.

    Hi, I am Diana.

I have written a few scripts but nothing produced.

I hope to learn tips/tricks to rework scripts when changes are requested so it is easier to get out of my own headspace.

A weird thing about me is I eat pizza with a fork and knife.
