What I learned while completing this lesson is that it is just as important to really know your characters, to give them true life before the time you are creating as it is to give them that life during the story.

Assignment 1

Who is your Hero and what is their Character Arc that represents a transformation?

Jaxson, a 20ish year old male that has been living in a shelter. He aged out of foster care and has been floundering ever since trying to make meaning of his life and find a path that will keep him off the streets.

Internal Journey: Jaxson embarks on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. He grapples with feelings of insignificance and alienation, wrestling with existential questions about his purpose. His internal journey is a path towards self-love and acceptance, learning to appreciate his uniqueness, and finding contentment within himself.

External Journey:Jaxson’s journey is about establishing connections and finding a community where he feels accepted and valued. It involves breaking away from his isolation, forging meaningful relationships, and finding a cause or a passion that lends purpose to his existence. The culmination of his external journey is in establishing a sense of belonging and purpose in the world around him.
