    What I learned doing Lesson 5 assignment. It is not easy finding the essential core of the story. Defining what will captivate the viewer and how the story will relate to the audience in an impactful way is a process of much introspection. 99% perspiration, 1% activation with words.
    What is my profound truth?
    The struggle of good and evil is real. Evil will wreak havoc and chaos without opposition.

    Groundhog Day
    What is the change – Negative self image to positive self image.
    who is causing the change Phil’s love interest
    Who is the character? Phil Conners
    How am Iured? Curiousity about how Phil is going to make it through another day of sameness.
    What caused me to connect? Questioning what I would do in his place. Becoming emotionally engaged.
    What is the journey? Old way – Cyncial, critical, sarcastic, narcissistic, prima dona, entitled, egocentric
    New way – Gentle, Compassionate, Empathetic, Kind
    What are the steps – Accepting what is happening and adapting
    How is old way challenged? Pencil break scene. she gets to him while he is trying to manipulate her
    What beliefs are challenged? His belief that everyone is out to get over on everyone else. A shift occurs in his negative self image to a positive one
    Most profound moments – Bowling scene. He embraces where he is by bringing coffee to the team.
    Most profound lines – What would you do if you were stuck in one place and every day was exactly the same and nothing you did mattered? What if there was no tomorrow? We can do whatever we want! Sometimes you just have to take chances. I don’t worry about anything anymore. I’m a god. I am immortal.
    How does the ending pay off? No matter what happens tomorrow I’m happy now for the rest of my life.
