Two novels with a third in the works. One full length stage play and four one-acts. I adapted one of them and made a short film from it. Three screenplays and three shorts scripts.

I hope to get my screenplay chops back on track after working on novels primarily for the last few years.

I’ve worked nearly every job in theatre and film during my career which began at the age of three in my first AEA production. I retired from mixing sound on Broadway shows in 1997. Now I trade stocks for my own account and write.

Hi all.

I’m not sure about the procedure, if this is where I introduce myself before I am enrolled officially. But anyway, Rick Meyer here. I’ve kicked around theatre, film, TV, etc for many decades. Got serious about writing in the ’90s while mixing sound on Broadway shows. Mostly focused on novels (my first love) the past few years. Won a New York Foundation for the Arts for my first one and had an excerpt from it published. Placed high in several screenwriting competitions with a couple of screenplays. I’m in this class to kick my screenwriting back in gear.
