Sophia Banks- I learned that the cover up and secret are very important to the story.

1 That he controls this whole dark web and the Kin feed is a cover for it, and he is responsisble for Ryan sister murder. And that he himself is so afraid of living and of death that he doesnt do anything.

COVER UP. it was an accidental killing by the mob boss.

2 Secret- Ryan flat mate, Jack was getting to close to the murder.

Cover up- Villian trying to frame murder on Ryan by killing his boss.

3 Secret 3 Who set Ryan up?

Cover up? Send in paid police to tell him it was the mob boss- red herring.

Secret- Ryan discovers the Mob boss works for someone.

Cover-up? Send in Assasins to try and kill him and take him out.

Secret- Ryan discovers that the Villian thread comes from kin-feed.

Cover-up – Have the web start attacking him and point him to another villain who was fired- elon muk type.

What I learned is this is the place to start that will help create a sequence to follow and will start you on your way to writing a screen play- I also learnt this is the most challenging but yet important part of the thriller writing process.

To create your Villain’s plan, answer these four questions:

What is the end goal?

To stop his underground trafficking ring getting found out and to be able to experience all the dark twisted things he wants to without being caught.

How can the Villain accomplish that in a devious way?

He can try and kill Ryan.

He can set Ryan up by killing his room mate.

He can get the police to investigate him.

He can hire professional assassins to kill him.

He can actually throw any resources at killing him as he is a billionare.

He can get his mob bosses to kill him.

He can use his social media platform to witch hunt him.

He can use fake news to trap him.

Use his flaw of not being able to log on against him.

How can they cover it up?

By using others to commit the crimes.

By pretending to assist him.

By having a paid police officer send him on the wrong path.

Offering to pay him off for his sisters death.

Kill his flatmate who got close to finding out on line.

Have another front for dark web- mob poss.

Sequence it to make it as intriguing as possible.

Ryan discovers his sister death.

Offer to pay him off for his sister death from weird creepy guy.

Send a paid police officer to his house once he reports it , the police officer send him to wrong mob boss.

He can send him to wrong person first mob boss, who threatens him.

His flat mate who discovers it then gets killed, Ryan thinks its mob boss, but actual Villian but its set up to make Ryan look like he is killer.

So he goes on run.

Then hire assassins to go after him and start trying to kill him.

Then use social web against him and fake news framing him as number one killer and have everyone hunting him down send him into deep hiding.

Then blame it on mob boss.

I learnt more about my villains and found this structure helps me come up with good ideas.

1. Remind us of your CONCEPT and the Big M.I.S. of your story.

Big Mystery: What is the main mystery of your story that will keep us wondering throughout the story?

Who is trying to Kill Ryan, what are they trying to protect, who owns the dark side of Kin feed and what is there motive.

Big Intrigue: What is the covert, clandestine, underhanded part that will live under the surface for most of the movie?

That the owner form Kinfeed is actually responsible and running this whole scheme. He does this as he is afraid of doing anything and thus prays on the victims who need money for his own amusement. A group of elite billionaires are his customers and thus the reason he does it.

Th red herring the Mob boss, who is just doing trades but not really involved in the whole scheme.

Big Suspense: What is the main danger to your Hero that will continue to escalate throughout the script?

The closer he gets to discovering his sister death, he comes across the dark scheme and thus starts to get hunter but he doesnt know who is trying to kill him. His room mate is killed and he has to go on the run.

2. Tell us the Intriguing World you have selected for this story.

The year is 2045 set in London….KIN FEED has revolutionized the world.

It’s a new platform like Instagram, which requires the participant to have a chip implanted in their head. This opens the door to super sensory perceptions. Once implanted, you are plugged in …and from this, once you touch on anyone’s post, you can feel everything the “capturer” felt in that moment.

You can FEEL them if they are drunk at a party.. TOUCHING that hot girl’s leg…dancing and feeling admired….you can FEEL what it’s like to perform on stage… to NAIL that song and have millions of adoring fans… to JUMP out of a plane over Berlin, to swim in a cage with great whites… … ALL the GOOD and ALL the BAD… In order to upload your experiences, YOU PERSONALLY have to film them via a chip in your head which means you personally have had to of done them.

It has now become one of the most popular platforms in the world, almost 4 billion online. The streets of London are empty most of the time….who needs to go anywhere when everything you need is on line!!

People stay in all day to watch other people’s videos. Videos include all sorts of parties, travelling experiences, celebrations, jobs etc.. However, there is a dark side…. there are those, the dark and sinister, who want to know what it is like to take drugs, to rob a bank, steal a car, or even darker – rape, murder, commit suicide and all other things we don’t even want to imagine.

Of course this is all banned on the surface, but what wasn’t revealed, is that at the “sign-up” there was a BLACK FEED. BLACK FEED is the new crime-world. You pay people or force them to record these experiences and then these are sold on to a dark public who are willing to pay a high price. This is the NEW SLAVERY the NEW HUMAN TRAFFICKING and its super fucked up!!

People now commit these crimes for money and sell their memories to others to be uploaded. How dark do you want to go. Well how dark is a twisted person’s mind? Is it DOUBLE MURDER, TORTURE or SHOOTING up a School or a Shopping Mall…. YEP its fucking dark and that’s where these criminal go and where they want to spend their time. But whatever or wherever it is, its the NEW CRIMINAL WORLD … and its fucked up as you can get.

Two new tribes in society have emerged… those willing to sell their experience or do ANYTHING for the right amount of cash .. “the desperate” and those with the twisted minds who have all the cash in the world “the spineless ones”.. who are ever fearful of any harm that could possibly happen to themselves, but who feed their insatiable fix for warped adrenaline off the desperation of “the desperate”.

A WORLD OF THE ONES WHO BUY AND THE ONES WHO ARE SLAVES.

3. With your top 2 or 3 characters, tell us the role they play and then answer these three questions:

A. What is the mystery of this character?

RYAN, was in BUS accident when he was 8 with his parents and younger sister. Only he and his sister survived but a large metal rod went through part of his skull, it was removed leaving a small fragment of metal but it meant Ryan would never be able to log on to the network or get a chip without risking the metal in his brain to create an electronic surge and kill him instantly. Therefore he can’t not participate in KIN FEED..

RYAN now 24, when his 18 year old sister goes missing after volunteering for “Happening” a KIN FEED experience where people are paid to participate. He starts to investigate, unable to log on, he has to use analogue means and it isn’t long before he the one being chased by the people he is chasing… caught up in something way over his head, and able to LOG ON to find the answers. RYAN has to use the old ways to fight Gangsters in a new world.

VILLIAN Mark – owns kin feed – why does he let the dark feed go on.

B. What is the suspense of this character?

Hero – is he going to be killed.

Villian is he going to get away with it and why is he doing it.

C. What is the intrigue of this character?

Hero- he can not go on the platform as he does not have a chip.

Villain- he is actually a wimpy guy who is afraid of doing anything and thus lives locked away and makes others act out and experiences there experience for his own and a group of elite killers.

LOG-LINE – Set in 2040, where the new instagram, is pictures the when you touch them you experience all perceptions only catch is you have to record them yourself. Ryan our hero looses his sister after she goes to a paid experience for online content, and as he starts to investigate comes across the new human trafficing, people who sell there experiences, he winds up on the run from these people who will do anything to keep there secret safe.

I learned- that these frameworks do help me come up with more ideas and that was a great feeling.

1. What are the conventions of your story?

• Unwitting but Resourceful Hero:

Ryan, 25, lost both parents in an accident he was in. Due to that accident, Ryan can not get a chip

• Dangerous Villain:

The owner of Kinfeed, the futuristic instagram, where you touch on an experience and feel all the sensations.

• High stakes:

Ryan sister is killed and he is being hunter by the owners of this and needs to be assisnated.

Ryan comes into a placebo get a clue and essentially he is set up, over a dead body and its streamed to the police making him seem like the killer and the police become on the run for him,

Odds are stacked against him until all the user of knifed are even after him.

• Life and death situations:

Several times Ryan is almost killed.

His sister is killed in the beginning

As Ryan starts to investigate, he comes home to find his friend and cat dead.

• This story is thrilling because?

Its essentially Ryan on the run being changed.

That Kinfeed is essentially a cover for Human trafficking, in that the owner knows about the dark feed and that people are selling each other on there.

• Big Suspense: What is the main danger to your Hero that will continue to escalate throughout the script?

As he is not killed, more and more people will come at him to take him out. Including at ne point the police as the owner of kin feed has so much power he is able to set Ryan up and frame him.

What I learned is how much intrigue, action and thrill one needs to sustain audience and have a good movie.

Henry Cavill to frame Ethan Hunt and who works with the apostles.

The turning on Ethan by Walker, and the threat of him and Solomon Lane to blow the plutonium.

Ethan hunt who is MIF agent, very resourceful but cares about the one individuals and there for gets himself in trouble. Also gets framed and gets people hurt including his ex-wife.

The entire world will blow up.

The capturing of the plutonium and the stopping of blowing up the old.
