Viva Tomlin’s Title, Concept, and Character Structure!

My Vision: I will be a sought-after, trusted writer/collaborator for movies or TV series for a new Sci-Fi genre based on imaginative inspiration from spiritual and physical scientific understanding of and speculation about the reality of the universe, and our emergent Earth world.

What I learned from doing this assignment is that just committing to the Title for now, my still not sufficiently reduced Concept, and the Character Structure, was unexpectedly creative as well as giving peace of mind. I valued the description, ”Outlining is a combination of discovering parts of your story, filling in puzzle pieces, and making simple choices.” I trust that through more processes, making the choices will become simple because I know I see and think in too complex a starburst way, and It takes too long to see in steps.

Title: Emergent Earth

Concept: (Genre: Science Fiction/Drama)

Advanced beings from an older universe, together with those of this one, seek the source of the new laws of reality they think enabled their earth friend as a child to traverse time, space and universes as a result of pure yearning for friendship out among the stars, but if their lifelong friendship and at last the interest of some physicists should be betrayed, and proves not to be a confirmation of prophecies and welcome, but a test of obedience to the laws of the new universe they don’t yet know, they, the Earth and their friends face unbearable loss of nearness to all they long for. (italic is at least one part I feel I maybe should leave out of too long concept sentence)

Hello everyone, my name is Viva Tomlin

I have written only two scripts but many plays, two novels, two musicals and a ballet that have been performed in a number of countries; I worked until the Pandemic with communities on the use of dramatic writing to process and present information, fantasy and speculation…. Great for engendering science fiction, my passion. I know I will get out of the course everything Hal promises is possible, namely a brilliant highly marketable screenplay as I intend to do exactly as asked, get every assignment in on time and thus become everything I need to be with highly honed skills. I have to . . . I have the chance of a lifetime; a multi billionaire filmmaker waiting to read my script. My unique thing I bring to the table is that I have at least some science fiction credentials; I am a cosmologist and my grandfather was one of the Illuminati of what was then Persia. He discovered the formula for transmutation of elements into any other but was told by the Master, the son of the Prophet founder of the Baha’i Faith, to throw it into the sea as the world was not (ethically) ready for it yet. I look forward to friendships and enjoying learning with you all and from you all.
