I was boxed in and couldn’t see how to fix my opening. It wasn’t working, but I was afraid to let go. Even if you want to cling to what you got, just do the assignments–they are real eye-openers. I’m happy to say I have a much better opener and a better chance at getting producers/studio readers/agents/etc to read past page 1, 3, 10 and beyond.
